IRWA SOURDOUGH CHAPTER 49’S EDUCATION

We are dedicated to supporting and engaging our members by providing rich learning experiences for both IRWA supported courses and Alaska specific educational offerings.

The IRWA has developed over 50 courses using right-of-way subject experts to provide the specialized training courses that are essential to building the knowledge base and continued education for which every right-of-way employer and professional depends.

REGISTRATION, VENUES, COORDINATORS, & DISCOUNTS

  • For member or agency discounts, fill out the Chapter 49 course registration and email to the course coordinator as shown under course details.

    For non-member, regularly priced registrations, you may register online through registrations@irwaonline.org.

    Registration will open once the instructor and venue have been secured.

  • Chapter 49 is scheduling courses to be held in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley areas.

    We are currently reserving venues and once confirmed, registration will open.

    Courses are subject to cancellation if enrollment does not meet minimum levels within 7 days of the scheduled course date.

    Please check the course schedule for regularly updated scheduling and registration information.

  • An electronic copy of your course material will be added to your IRWA account once your registration is completed.

    All participants will receive a confirmation email with a link to the course materials in electronic format.

    *Black & white printed course materials are only available for purchase (at $30) until 10 days prior to the class start date.

  • Must be a member of IRWA Ch. 49 to coordinate a Ch. 49 sponsored course.

    Complete the IRWA Course Coordinator training online and, once completed, email Course Coordinator certificate to your Education Chair

    Choose a course from the current schedule that needs a course coordinator.

    Work with your Education Chair to find an instructor and a venue for your course

    Assist Instructor with travel arrangements and classroom logistics as needed (Virtual or Live).

    Advertise class via email and website.

    Monitor class registrations/roster and work with your Education Chair to resolve registration issues.

    Make arrangements for morning and afternoon snacks/beverages and notify registrants of lunch options.

    Coordinate with Instructor for classroom setup and make sure electronics/supplies are available and in working order.

    Return class roster, evaluations, etc. required by IRWA HQ at the end of class presentation as directed, including copy of roster to your Education Chair and Chapter Treasurer.

  • Agencies enjoy a 10% discount when registering three or more attendees for LIVE classes only. DO NOT register online or individually. Discounts MUST be coordinated through that Course’s Coordinator or the Education Chair.

  • Coordinate with your Education Chair for in-person course selections.
