Right of Way Agent I / 2 Flex - Full Time in Anchorage

We have an exciting opportunity in the Central Region Right-of-Way Section, Property Management Unit. We're looking for a Right-of-Way Agent 1/2 Flex (PCN 250715) to join our team. In this role, you will manage and inspect state-owned rights-of-way, ensuring compliance with permits and regulations. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving permits related to signage, driveways, events, and land use, as well as overseeing excess land disposal and access management. You will also address outdoor advertising and encroachments, maintain detailed records, communicate with property owners, explain property boundaries, and negotiate or recommend actions for resolving encroachments. This position requires strong communication and decision-making skills to uphold state property management standards effectively.
This is a Right-of-Way (ROW) Agent 1/2 flex position, where both levels perform similar duties with differences in complexity and supervision. ROW Agent 1 receives on-the-job training and attends courses to learn section principles, working under close supervision on smaller assignments. Upon completing the Flex Training Plan, a ROW Agent 1 may advance to ROW Agent 2, taking on more complex tasks with greater independence.
