We have an exciting opportunity in the Central Region Right-of-Way Section, Acquisitions’ Unit. We're looking for a Right-of-Way Agent 1/2 Flex (PCN 250715) to join our team. In this role, you will manage and inspect state-owned rights-of-way, ensuring compliance with permits and regulations. Responsibilities include:
Determining of fair market value and negotiate with property owners and public officials to acquire real property and improvements.
Relocate people and businesses to make way for construction of highways and airport projects.
Solicit for and manage consultant contracts for ROW services.
Facilitate land acquisition for public infrastructure projects and provide relocation assistance.
Maintain records of property owner interactions and coordinate with internal teams to address right-of-way concerns.
This position plays a vital role in managing state-owned properties while ensuring compliance and supporting public infrastructure development. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
This is a Right-of-Way (ROW) Agent 1/2 flex position, where both levels perform similar duties with differences in complexity and supervision. ROW Agent 1 receives on-the-job training and attends courses to learn section principles, working under close supervision on smaller assignments. Upon completing the Flex Training Plan, a ROW Agent 1 may advance to ROW Agent 2, taking on more complex tasks with greater independence.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma
A positive attitude and commitment to quality, teamwork, innovative problem solving, communication, and relationship management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
