We have an exciting opportunity in the Central Region Right-of-Way Section, Project Coordination Unit. The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities in Anchorage is seeking a dedicated individual for a permanent Right-of-Way (ROW) Agent 1/2 Flex position within the Central Region Right-of-Way Section, Project Coordination Unit. As a Right of Way (ROW) Agent, you will coordinate with engineering teams that design public construction projects, negotiate property acquisitions, and otherwise resolve issues related to property. Primary responsibilities include:
title and records research,
the preparation of budget estimates for property acquisition,
and the acquisition of property interests from other government agencies,
with a particular emphasis on research. Additionally, you may conduct field inspections, meet with property owners, or attend public meetings. Your role will be essential in maintaining project timelines and minimizing conflicts related to land acquisition.
This is a Right-of-Way (ROW) Agent 1/2 flex position, where both levels perform similar duties with differences in complexity and supervision. ROW Agent 1 receives on-the-job training and attends courses to learn section principles, working under close supervision on smaller assignments. Upon completing the Flex Training Plan, a ROW Agent 1 may advance to ROW Agent 2, taking on more complex tasks with greater independence.
